Impressive surroundings, a lovely marquee, a romantic Gothic church... Tying the knot at Dunglass Estate is not just about a ceremony and a party as you will also relax whilst sharing special moments with your loved ones and experiencing an extraordinary day to remember forever. Poet Robert Burns once described Dunglass as "the most romantic, sweet place I ever saw".

Facilities and capacity

One of the special features of your wedding being held here is the achingly romantic collegiate church; a ruined, 15th century church owned by Historic Scotland that will undoubtedly make the perfect setting and backdrop for your wedding photos.

Only a few yards away, the stylish marquee is where you will be able to just walk from the house to your ceremony and then seamlessly into the celebrations. No travelling needed from the ceremony to the reception; everything 'under the same roof'!

Services offered

Do not hesitate to take over the Estate itself -including the main building and cottages- for a whole weekend on an exclusive basis. You will be offered various wedding packages to match your need and budget, from small weddings to more classic services.

Arrange a tasting session to try everything they have to offer, from delicious canapés and gourmet menus, to their more casual bowl food, sharing platters and BBQ ideas.

Besides, they can also cook for you throughout the whole weekend whether you want them there in the kitchen or you prefer them to deliver tasteful dishes for you and your guests to enjoy whenever is preferable.

Their accommodation facilities have been recently restored, and you and your guests will enjoy wood-burning stoves, crisp bed linen, sofas you can sink into and a cosy but stylish rustic charm in the main building and their cottages. The main house can accommodate 10 people and the other two properties can host 12 more guests.

The origins of the Estate date back to the 14th century when a castle stood here. It was destroyed in 1548 but was then restored, only to be lost to time -and possibly some thieving enemies.

Extensive green lawns that will take down to the nearby cliffs of East Lothian's gorgeous coastline, a secret walled garden and ancient church, a wildlife-rich lake and woodland, fields and meadows...

Dunglass Estate is located between East Lothian and the Scottish Borders, nearby Edinburgh and boasts major road, rail and airport links in the area. Besides, they also offer a large space for helicopter landings!
